Fenocchio – Nice
In Côte d’Azur, and specifically in Nice there is not too many restaurants we can recommend. If you cannot afford to eat in a palace, there is maybe Keisuke Matsushima. Few gems can be found and I wish to go to try them soon! I have a little place to recommend.
It may look like a tourist trap but it is not. A real ice cream maker in the heart of the old town exists. A visit to Nice cannot be complete without tasting one of their creations.
From vanilla to coke, chocolate to figs, or beer to Piña Colada… I believe they almost have no limits.
When you start to look for the place to get the best chocolate, it a mission… I guess you first go to the supermarket and go to compare the different brands and range of products. I focus on real chocolate, made with an average of 65% of cocoa. Sometimes 60, sometimes 70% depending on how strong and sweet the chocolate is.
Below a selection of products I love to eat.

On a discrete street, this pastry shop with large windows, the place is inviting you to enter and discover their wonders artisanally made every day.
Fine pastries, well prepared. I have been to this place 5 times so far, never been disappointed about what i ordered. I love the chocolate used. Those pieces of sweet are nicely displayed, how to resist to the temptation ? Even the price is “okay”: from 1 to 6 euros. Continue reading
