CLOSED – Café Figue – Paris – FRANCE – A little bit bobo

Café Figue – Paris

Sorry… This place is out of businesss…

One of the places I like to visit for the lunch, but also for their brunch currently. Warm welcoming, always a table available, and mainly: the chef’s ability to cook such a variety of different dishes.

From starters to desserts, her inspiration has no limits. It is possible to taste here a Japanese speciality, and an African one the next day. I would like to say: always well done. Continue reading

Fenocchio – Nice – FRANCE – Endless ice cream flavors

Fenocchio – Nice

In Côte d’Azur, and specifically in Nice there is not too many restaurants we can recommend. If you cannot afford to eat in a palace, there is maybe Keisuke Matsushima. Few gems can be found and I wish to go to try them soon! I have a little place to recommend.

It may look like a tourist trap but it is not. A real ice cream maker in the heart of the old town exists. A visit to Nice cannot be complete without tasting one of their creations.

Le Louchébem – Paris, FRANCE – The Butcher’s restaurant

Plenty of meat

This historic restaurant does not joke with the meat quality they serve. And people know it, it is almost always full and getting a table needs a highly recommended reservation in advance.

Of course you can  try your luck to book a table the same day, or to go to  line-up to get seated, if you are patient. The reputation about this restaurant is totally justified. Even it is already packed with lot of visitors, the menu and the quality remain interesting.

Pierre Sang – Paris, FRANCE – A fun time at a gourmet place

The day I visited this place it was not so busy, waiting time acceptable, seated next to the chef: perfect. I admit I tried to come 20 minutes before the opening hours to be sure we could have a good seat. It wasn’t a waste of time!

Alain Milliat – Paris, FRANCE – Almost the perfect brunch

Finding a great Sunday brunch can be a hard game in Paris, this place has a great and fine option but also some annoying drawbacks. Alain Milliat is famous the fine juices and jam he produce.

Telescope – Paris, FRANCE – The quiet and cute coffee place

The vibe here is different than in other few similar places.  You can enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea) just in front the counter. If you are curious, you can go to the basement which offer a unique old cave style room, but it not seems to be in use actually..

[NOW CLOSED] Rino – Paris, FRANCE – One month to go

Great experience at Rino, this modern restaurant which is highly recommended by the epicurean bloggers from more than two years now. Even they announced recently that their restaurant is going to shutdown in one month, it is still quite serious here. (March 22nd is expected to be the last opening day).
