Le Pain Quotidien is well known worldwide from several years now. If you live int the US, you probably already know this place, since it is massively located in NYC and LA. Despite it is originally created in Belgium, Paris was not in the target of this chain until now. As of today they opened 8 stores in Paris and a new one is opening soon.
I chose to write an article about this place, because, I think it is a nice choice for a sunday brunch if you haven’t tried their menu yet. Continue reading
I am a tourist.
When strolling around in the chateaux for my 4th times (or 3rd?), planning where I should take my guests to go for lunch (except sandwich in my bag before visiting the huge park ) of the Chateau. Just before the end of the tour, I heard a sound of restaurant (kling~kling + whispering), Angelina!
Beautiful displayed desserts are calling, how I can not answer?
-“Trois personnes svp.”
Polite waitress lead us to a full but quiet room. Mini me in my heart can’t stop screaming and jumping up and down with excitement. WoW Wow Woww i m going to lunch next to king and queen la~
Salad is refreshing! Continue reading
The most authentic Diner in France is probably this one, I love the way they designed the restaurant front. It really feel like it is a copy from a downtown Diner of Manhattan.
Breakfast In America Logo
Inside, you will find good atmosphere. Both the decoration and the staff are nice. The daily menu or Brunch set menu are nothing special: eggs, pancakes, hamburgers, wraps, milkshakes. Typical. Continue reading
This food truck has provoked numerous articles from last summer 2012, and it is not going to stop. It is true that the business owner is really active, if you are a foodie always looking for the best food served in all the 20 areas of Paris: you may had met one of their trucks already.
3 or 4 people inside
Burgers are more expensive then the usual price tag from others food-trucks. Continue reading
A Tibetan restaurant in Paris ? Go for the Tashi Delek, inexpensive, not common, tasty.
The Full Menu
Inside, the decoration is colorful, and will make you feel you are no more in Paris. Tables are small, few seating available, so come early, around noon is the best time. Continue reading
I like this address with the terrace, nice during sunny days. The restaurant is located in a charming neighborhood, far from the crowd.
The main dining room
When you enter inside that place, you will notice immediately the huge pastry just next the main door. It is one of their main special: “Mille-Feuille”. They invite you to enjoy sweet. Continue reading
If you are going to Mont-Saint-Michel from Paris, you will probably need to transfer in Rennes. There is a nice french restaurant there, also nice for business meetings. It is just located steps from the rail station, and I think it is a good value.
One of the classic meat based dish from their menu is the Calf’s brain. So it a good occasion for me to taste this part of the animal. The meat comes with a special sauce made with Dijon Mustard, helping you forgetting the strong meat taste.
Nice find, this Basque restaurant is a gem, I really felt like i as in southwest of France.
The Main Dining Room
Basque specialties are well done here, really, I cannot name any wrong detail here. Maybe the waiting time ? But for me since I come for fresh and house made food, I won’t really care. The menu is simple but rotates frequently, and the cooks only use seasonal products. I ordered an appetizer and a main dish from the three or four offered daily.
Appetizer: Herring fillets seasoned and served with butter;
Main dish: Fabulous Veal Brisked and sliced veggies. Continue reading
It looks like a jewelry store, but everything displayed is so affordable!
The back room
On a discrete street, this pastry shop with large windows, the place is inviting you to enter and discover their wonders artisanally made every day.
Fine pastries, well prepared. I have been to this place 5 times so far, never been disappointed about what i ordered. I love the chocolate used. Those pieces of sweet are nicely displayed, how to resist to the temptation ? Even the price is “okay”: from 1 to 6 euros. Continue reading
One of the best coffee I ever tried in Paris.
I’ve also been to Coutume Café for their brunch, which costs between 25 and 30 euros. I was seduced by the Detox Veggie Brunch, I really felt tired that day!
It is good to discover new drinks, “Le Cherbet” was totally unknown to me. It is in fact a lemon squash drink mix mixed with milk. Really efficient to make me feel more awake.
The weekend brunch is freshly made by order, despite the food looked so beautiful, colorful and appetizing….. I wasn’t delighted by the food. My mouth didn’t got the same appealing. Veggies are fresh, and well-selected.
