Issy Guinguette – Issy, FRANCE – A vineyard in Paris

On my way back to Paris, riding the RER from Versailles, I was surprised to see a vineyard just before the city of lights. I decided to stop and discover what this place is offering.

The atmosphere is original, when you are on the street, in front of the fence, it is hard to guess a vineyard is hidden just behind the building. Immediately after the entrance, you will see their a wine shop, selling bottles from all over France. They offer mainly products from small producers.

Best time to go is maybe around mid-September, the weather is nice, you can enjoy the outdoor seating under the colorful lighting.

The monthly menu is always exciting, I recommend to order the set menu for the dinner, at 33 euros drinks not included:

  • Swordfish Rilletes, to mix with bread and salades. Fresh ingredients, nice introduction to their cuisine;
  • Preserved Lamb, with potatoes soufflé and thin slices of cucumber. Delicious~
  • Strawberry Millefeuille, the sweet part to end this perfect dinner.

During the dinner, the waitress was helpful and helped us choosing dishes we may appreciate regarding our desires.

If you are interested to try this restaurant, it is better to book advance.
