This place is mentioned in almost any guide book about Paris. It is maybe one of the oldest restaurant in Paris, it was opened in 1896! More than 115 years before. No need to say that this place became an historic sight, more than a high quality dining place..
The menu seems to change daily, the date is printed on the menu and they have daily suggestions.
Price are incredibly low, nice effort, really attractive. It is affordable bu not necessary a good deal! Meals are simple, portions are quite small. The food quality is average but fresh. We ordered fish, meat, salads… The point here is not about the food. Same for the dessert, it is cheap, but not crazy.
This is the perfect place to discover the ambiance of a typical parisian brasserie. The decoration is amazing, the ceiling is really high. The dining room is big and is organized like a train car.
Service is nice, each waitress manage only a row of tables. They write down on the table cover everything you order. Funny and nostalgic.
